It feels like every year we said that this year’s winter is really cold and we have so many snowy days. We are so glad that Faye reached out to us to do a snowy session with Bo in it. We knew Faye from a couple years back, she sent us an email that touched our heart: Enjoy this Kortright prewedding photos we took last month.

Hi Jenn and Kevin,

I am inquiring about a family session with our dog. We love our dog very much and we would like to have a decent family picture of the 3 of us! We absolutely the pictures that you take of your dog and would like the same for our dog/family. Just wondering if this is something that you would be interested in doing since your business focus is mainly weddings. If yes, just wondering how much this would cost and details of the package.

Faye, Dan and Bo

I remember getting this email in the midst of 2018 wedding season. Anything with 8 (2008, 2018 and the upcoming 2028), wedding season is crazy. 8 is a lucky number in Chinese traditions and all parents want their children to get married in this particular year or in the month of August of any year. Back to Faye… Her email really made my day. We just actually finished shooting a family dog slash birthday party (do you wonder what this is? We will post more next week — just realized we haven’t shared it on our blog yet!) and were just looking for more family with dogs to shoot. Shoots with dogs are very fun!

We said yes in a heart beat and Faye booked a session for the fall changing colour. And Dan contacted shortly after that asking us if it’s possible to upgrade their package to a proposal one. With Bo in it!!

So… It was official! We are shooting a proposal session with their dog! Fast forward to a couple months later, they booked a venue for their August 2020 wedding. They booked us for their wedding. And now, we are shooting their snow session with Bo. It was a beautiful weekend with lots of sun and snow! These three are very special to us. We are so honored that we have seen their family grow from in relationship to being engaged. We can’t wait to see them to be Mr and Mrs in August!
