Photowalk: Toronto Center Island

Choosing this path of life as a professional photographer has changed my life. Earlier in October, I realized that I have picked up my camera as if I am picking up a briefcase in the morning. I only picked my camera when there was a session to do. A few weeks ago, Kevin and I decided to change things a bit. We wanted to go back to our first love with photography. We chose Toronto Center Island which is one of the destinations for a short gateaway from the city. All we wanted to do that day was really to enjoy being with each other and shoot for ourselves along the way. We were blessed to have a perfect weather that day, 22 degrees Celcius at the end of October was quite rare.

We spent the day wandering around the island. When we got home, I checked and apparently we had walked for a total of 7 kilometers that day. While walking in the midst of changing colour trees, one could hardly miss the fact that it is a change of season. I, for one, promised to myself that I will never treat my camera as a briefcase anymore, I want to shoot and document life as much as I can. Photography is not a way of living. I want to treat my camera as my heart and the extension of my eyes. Photography is a part of my life and my loved ones as I document the change of season, literally, in our lives.

Here are the images from that day. This will forever be remembered as our first fall in Toronto. This is the season of our lives now. Enjoy!

His view and her view. This is why we are a team. 🙂

And the snake we saw while strolling the island.

~Share the love,

Jenn and Kevin~
