North York Family Photographer: Welcoming Baby I
A couple days before the formal due date, Dylis and Victor welcomed Baby I into their world. I remember posting this link, receiving a glowing Google Review about her maternity session from Dylis and checking Facebook just to find out he was already here! Here are a few of my favourites from their session, I hope you love these as much as I do.
As I arrived, Dylis was feeding Baby I and it was a beautiful silhouette of motherhood portrayed. This just has to be captured, a simple mother and son moment. Their beautiful North York home gave us so much opportunity to use the natural light in documenting the session.
And as I am working through their gallery this week, even after five years of being a photographer, I am still floored by what photography can do in preserving these memories of a few days old baby. People would think that we would naturally photograph our own milestones ourselves but looking at these pictures, I know that when the time comes, I would very much like a photographer to be there and document these for us. Dylis and Victor, congratulations once again your bundle of joy. And thank you once again for trusting me to document this milestone for you.

Dylis mom came from Hong Kong to help the new mom and dad adjusting to their first month in parenthood. As we shot a few frames towards the end of this family session, I noticed how well fitting their hands came together. This is an image of Baby I being cared by his grandmother and mother. A three generation represented in hands.
The new daddy embraced fatherhood really well, so proud to see this family of two growing…

Love! At home, newborn/lifestyle sessions are always my fave when it comes photographing sweet little ones. It feels real and inviting. Congrats to the new mommy and daddy!
