Los Angeles Engagement Session: Sheena + Eric

For almost a week in December, I got to travel solo and visit a few of my dear friends in sunny California. This time, I travel solo. Kevin isn’t there to carry our camera and laptop bags. It was not easy. I am so used to having him around not just to carry my stuff of course, but his company is what I missed the most. Thankfully at the end of this month and all month February, I will have him back as my fella-traveller. Dear airport(s), here we come again.

Nevertheless, the journey was memorable. I got reminded again why I am doing what I love. It’s such an honor to be a part of a wedding day even when I am not in my usual role of capturing every moments. It’s such an honor to see two people who are so much in love with one another commit their lives together in front of their loved ones. It’s such an honor to be there and shed happy tears for them :). For the first few days, I was occupied making sure the bachelorette party and the wedding day were going well. I have forgotten how intense it was to make sure that every thing on the to-do-list is covered and that it was all worth it in the end.

At the end of trip, I got to hang out with my best friend and her hubby and their clients in an engagement shoot! I got an exclusive tour of California by these two ;):

Ella and I met when we were in high school. Three years of friendship continued to this day equals to ten years already! We are both now married to the love of our lives and got to do what we love (please check out her beautiful cupcakes)! It is such a blessing! During the 48 hours we were together last month, I realized how much we haven’t changed even though lives have taken its challenges and the-usual-twist-and-turn. For that, I am grateful that God has sent me friends along the way. I am now back in the office refreshed and fulfilled knowing that I am not alone in this journey. Knowing that we are all working hard pursuing our passion while time sweeps our feet away. Knowing that I have a friend who listens and only a skype/whatsapp away even though the distance takes us apart. Knowing that ten years has shaped the friendship stronger even though we don’t see and talk to each other every day.

And, here are some images from Sheena and Eric on that sunny day:

And here are some images from behind the scene:

Let me finish this post by showing how I miss that beautiful day so so much:

Love,

Jennifer
