Happy New Year and Printing Photos

Happy New year!
There is so much in our life is expected like a microwave. Everything that we need, we needed them a second ago or in a second. I realized that making decisions in a whirlwind actually not benefiting our creative souls. We have been pushed to make decisions in seconds since COVID19 started and for a good 20 or so months, we were stressed. Any amount of work that were done in 24 hours were never enough. Last summer, we decided to just fly on a weekend to Chicago and recharge. We reflected what our life had been and made a conscious decision to make more time for life. We also booked our flight home (to Asia) to see our family and recharge again. After four months of continuously doing this, we have been patient in letting the moments unfold and the creativities kick in. It has been a nourishing experience and journey. For 2023, we strive to do the best we can to nurture this creative outlet.
When I took a weekday off last week, I went to Lulu’s home. This is also one of our goals to visit our friends’ and families’ homes on a regular basis. She is a friend turned client and we have documented so many of her milestones. It was refreshing to see different pictures of different seasons of her life in her home.
And the journey we have gone through with V and her, documenting it every step of the way:

And last summer, our beloved Lulu graduated from her Masters and we were invited again to photograph her family as she reaches this new milestone:

The trip to Lulu’s home brings some creativity in. Obviously it made it to this blog post 🙂 But seeing the printed work framed in her home brought us to realize the different angles and composition we will work on in our family and wedding photography. If one visit to a friend’s home brings this enlightenment, we probably should make a museum and/or a gallery visit soon 😉 Who is with us? We’ll call it a double date!
With love,
Jenn
