I used to think my mom was the greatest mom in the world and I was right. She is my mom and my bestfriend. She snuggled with me in bed and listened to my ramblings about classmates who didn’t want to play with me at night. And after I am asleep, she sneaked out and worked until the wee hours. Almost twenty years later, she came home early from work to Skype with me because of the time difference between us. After two hours, we would end the conversation and she would be in tears for missing me already. Mom, although we are 10,000 miles away from each other, I have never felt that distance keeps us apart. You are always there as if you are just living at the corner of my street. And for that, I am grateful. To have you as my mom and my best friend. I love you mom!

This is so sweet. Your mom sounds amazing! I live 2000 miles from my mom–a mere 1/5th the distance between you and yours–and it’s so tough. We need our mommies no matter how old we get! Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome moms out there. =)
