Toronto Wedding Photographer Personal Post: A Surprise Wedding

I stumbled upon this video this morning and balled my eyes watching it.

I have thought about sharing the link on Facebook page for all to check it out but realized how little I had to say. And how easy to turn off the video as you see that this is 30 minutes long. I would like to encourage you to watch it but set aside 30 minutes to see it from the beginning to the end. It’s worth it!

Kevin and I love a good love story. We need to define the word good because for every person, it’s different. We love a story that the couple invested so much in each other. We love a story where they knew that they are married for a lifetime. We love a story that the purpose that they are together is bigger than themselves. We realized that this definition has evolved and grown as we met so many wonderful people along the way 🙂

This past weekend, we sat down with a couple. We had met them before but we had asked them to save the proposal story until our meeting. There is something about a proposal story. We love them because they define these couples. 50 seconds or 50 minutes, we love however long it takes you to tell us the story. We were so glad to save this story to the meeting as we saw him looking at her with teary eyes. And her beaming and adding bits and details from her side of story. There is nothing like telling a story of the start of this commitment of a lifetime.

As I have warned you, this video takes 30 minutes but every detail and footage have been thought carefully to make it worth it. A surprise wedding is not for every one but it’s always lovely to see it comes once in awhile. We haven’t had the chance to do one and would love to talk with you if you are thinking about it! 😀 Here are some snippets of my favourite:)

02:45 “On my wedding day, I just want my guests to feel cared for, thought about… And I really want my guests to go somewhere fun.”

09:03 “Honestly, having a huge plan and in the moment, not having any plan was exciting”

12:10 “For me, I didn’t want to use that phrase until I could back it up with every fiber of my being. I felt like saying I love you that day. … I believe myself when I said it”

16:16 “The question is not will you marry me. But, will you marry me today?”

Wow this is such a sweet story.

I lost it when he told her that he loved her for the first time.

This is just amazing! What a wonderful story 🙂

Um, hello amazing!?! What a story to tell about your wedding day!! Loved watching this – thanks for sharing!

This is so, so sweet! My favourite was when she walked into that room after he proposed and saw everyone that they love and care about there to witness and support them in the beginning of their marriage!

aWWW, soooo beautiful <3
