2014 In Review
2014 has been great to us. Originally, we have planned to create a collage of our 2014 couples for this blog as wedding photographers. We built a system to choose our favourites after each wedding which worked for half of the summer. For some reasons, the system fell through… We shot more weddings than we planned, the post processing work started to building up and… we bought our first home! In the late November, still editing through two of our fall weddings and designing two albums for our couple who got married this summer, we packed and moved! The place is bigger than our rental unit and the neighbourhood is much better than we ever thought we would ever afford for our first home.
We are now rooted in Toronto. The last sentence might not make any impression to you but it is a big deal for us. Kevin and I moved to Vancouver 12 years and 10 years ago from a Southeast Asian country for school. We stayed in Vancouver after graduation and started our business as Vancouver wedding photographers. On top of that, we traveled the world whenever we can (still do right now). But deep in our hearts between 2010-2011, we tried to find home. We got married in 2010 and went back for an extended period of time to our home country which did not lead us to any opening door. We traveled to Europe and different states down south. Our last city to visit at the end of 2011 was Toronto. We put it in the plan just because Kevin worked here during the summer breaks of 2008 and 2009. Little did we know that this city would capture our hearts. Plans were made and opened doors were happening, we moved to Toronto for good at the end of 2012’s wedding season and started out our adventure as Toronto wedding photographers.
Jenn! What a year, I can’t believe it has been so long since we met when you first came to Toronto, we’ve done a switch-a-roo and so many good things to come I can feel it.
