Toronto Florist: DeLight Floral + Design Celebrating Ten Year Anniversary

As I sit down writing this post, I can hardly believe that almost ten years have passed since I first met Sarah. She was still single and had no kids (fast forward to two adorable kids now!). I remember attending and photographing her wreath floral workshop one Christmas in her home office that year. We were both at the beginning of our businesses and filled with the same feelings of uncertainties and excitement. I have met vendors who stay friends over the years through this event as well.
But something about Sarah’s warmth and generosity drew me to her. I was struck by her talent, of course, but even more so by her kind heart and unwavering dedication to her craft and to her team. Over the years, we have grown together, both as friends and as business owners. We have been to each others’ houses, photographed her kids and my dog and other friendors’ kids in our gatherings. I have photographed many of her clients’ weddings, she’s been a florist in our clients’ weddings and the most special one is… We photographed Hedy’s wedding, her one and only sister, last year. We have celebrated each other’s triumphs, cried over our setbacks (covid seasons and its challenges!) and shared our milestones along the way.
And now, as Sarah celebrates her ten year anniversary with family and friends, I feel honored to be a part of this milestone again. Sarah, I am so proud of you. It seems like one night, one event. But it’s a chance to reflect on the journey you’ve taken. You have poured your heart and soul into this, creating stunning arrangements that bring joy to countless couples and people. You have overcome challenges and setbacks with grace and resilience and you’ve added a new full time member running this flourishing business of yours. We celebrate you, Ashley and DeLight Floral + Design team!
It was such a smart idea to set up a custom calligraphy table for the guests. Camille from Sincerely Camille custom made all the calligraphy on the vases.
