Lately: Jamie’s Giveaway and Our New FB Look

It’s been quiet on this blog even though real life has been far from quiet. I have been finding reasons to blog lately: book review check, personal post check, latest session check, iphone photos check. Last week, Miss Jamie launched her new blog and gave me a reason to blog about it. I have scheduled Tuesday this week to be the day to give our Facebook page a facelift so I decided to wait a bit and write about both today. 😉 I found Jamie through Facebook in the summer of 2009. The year that I graduated from UBC, started working full time, got engaged and started attending a photography program. I was planning a wedding and she is a wedding photographer. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to work together for my wedding but I visited her blog at least twice a  week since then. I love reading her posts and looking through her gorgeous work. She has inspired me in so many ways and I can’t believe it’s been 4 years now! Her latest series, The Girl I Once Was, is really beautiful and honest. I have lost count on how many times I sent links of her blog posts to my friends to read, inspire and educate ourselves (yep, educate!). This is probably the second face lift she has given to her website and blog (since I started following her) and I have to be honest that I am inspired to hire someone to do ours this year. We’ve been mulling over the idea for over a year now and I know through looking at Jamie’s beautiful site: we can’t delay anymore! Treat yourself today and visit her site! And here is our new look of the business Facebook page. I wished that I had taken a screen shot of the “before” like I did here, but nope, I forgot! Oh well… Anyway, we are glad we did this today! Thanks to Kevin who disapproved my initial design, went home early from work and refined the look in 2 hours. Then, he cooked us dinner while I wrote this blog. He is really my better half. Go teamwork!
