I thought long and hard of what to write in this post. I sifted through blog drafts I wrote a few weeks ago and not one felt fitting to this post. But I remember what happened on Sunday last week and what I found in the pile a couple days ago. It’s enough and fitting to end this February iPhone post as well as the second month of 2013.
Last Sunday, we had two great services with Ps. Ben Houston. He was here for 4 days, gave a workshop on the second day, preached in two of our services on Sunday and left on Monday. Church was full and there was no empty chair left in Hard Rock as usual. The buzz of old and new friends was loud. And yet His presence convicted me to give it all during the worship. To not hold back and say yes to His calling once again. To give up all that I thought was mine and let Him take over. It was an ugly crying scene if you sat right behind me. I was shaking so hard that I was embarrassed. But it was life changing and much needed. I started this week as a brand new person. And just like that, a couple days ago I found two polaroids of Kevin, myself and our friends before he left for Toronto last year. March will be the month that we are celebrating his one year in Toronto. What a year it has been for both of us and it all started from letting go and let God took over last year. The call to move province and start it all new and fresh again. A new call has come and as much as I am excited for what is ahead of us… I have to be honest that I am a little scared too. The thought that He is in control is the only peace I can have on this side of heaven. And here is a fitting song of our new season of life, brand new and only a few days old. How appropriate. 🙂
Share the love this weekend and hug your loved ones extra tight,
